Art Show

“Design must be functional and functionality must be translated into visual aesthetics, without any reliance on gimmicks that have to be explained.”

Just as Volunteers fuel PCA, creativity fuels The Parade Art Show.

If you express your enthusiasm for PCA and Porsche through art, we’ve got the forum for you!

There are a number of categories that can be entered, seventeen in all, which are based on your experience and artistic expression. We enlist the assistance of seasoned judges to honor the leading achievements in each category. In addition to awards in each category, there will be a Best of Show and People’s Choice Awards. If we are fortunate to have a member of the Porsche family in attendance at the Parade, there will be a presentation of the Porsche Family Art Award. Are you up for the challenge?

Artwork must expressly depict Porsche culture, design, engineering, and/or heritage.

Entrants must be current Active PCA members; Family-Active; Associate; Family-Associate; or Affiliate member and must be a registered Parade attendee.  In addition Parade entries for CFAP; JPP; Juniors are also included.

Artists must be of amateur status to participate in the art show.

Each entrant may enter up to two (2) pieces total. Each Junior may enter 1 (one) piece per child.  All entries must be handcrafted (no kits)

Parade entrants are eligible to participate and must select “Art Show” during Parade Phase II registration in order to participate. Additionally, each Art Show participant must fill out the Art Show online Eventbrite form, found below during Phase II, to provide details on the artwork to be submitted.

Eventbrite is also used to sign up for the Art Show Awards Ceremony/Reception on Monday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. The reception is open to the Artists and their guests only. This will be the first viewing of the Art Show which formally opens to Parade-goers on Tuesday morning. Three awards, the People’s Choice, Porsche Family of Excellence, and Best in Show will be presented later in the week after the show has been open for general viewing.

We look forward to you joining us at Parade 2024 in Birmingham Jefferson Convention Complex - BJCC - East Meeting Room - Level 3

There are four categories in the Art Show:
Photography
Studio Art
Artisan Crafts
Young Artist Exhibition

There are also several subcategories. These will be open to amateur artists age 16 or older. Categories are subject to change depending on the numbers and types of entries.

The Young Artist Exhibition category is for our Parade participants 15 and younger. The Young Artist Exhibition Class will be displayed and judged as a single group. Any art form/medium is eligible (must have Porsche theme), and all entrants in this category will receive recognition for their entry.
