Vehicle Tech Safety Inspection

2024 Porsche Parade Safety Tech Inspection for Autocross Vehicles:

This year PCA will be performing Safety Inspection the morning of the autocross at the autocross site. Please prepare your vehicle prior to the Safety Tech Inspection, your car must be parked in your reserved parking space “ready to run” with hood and trunk lids open, and with your Snell 2010 or later rated helmet on the front seat for inspection, and your Parade car numbers properly mounted, in order to pass. if there is an issue with the participates vehicle or safety gear they will be allowed to make any repairs prior to running the autocross.

It is the sole responsibility of each competitor to present a vehicle that is safe to operate in a competitive event and is in sound mechanical condition. Safety inspection by PCA volunteers does not relieve a competitor of their responsibility for the safety of the vehicle they have entered.

Note: all vehicles trunks or bonnet & interiors must be empty prior to Tech Inspections and during the autocross.

We will be performing Safety Inspections at the autocross site:

Wednesday 7:00am to 9:00am

Thursday 7:00am to 9:00am

*Tech Inspections will be performed at the pre grid area.

Also, Parade Safety Tech Chair: Howard Gilson will be on site to perform any last minute inspections or until all vehicles are inspected.

All vehicle Safety Inspections will be done at the autocross site prior to participating in the autocross, vehicles must have a Tech Sticker to participate. Again, I can’t emphasize this enough, please have your vehicle ready for and safety inspection prior to staging your vehicle for the autocross. Safety Inspection Volunteers will check wheel torque, safety gear, wheel, tires, brakes, battery, fluid levels and any fluid leaks, belts and the other items listed on the Safety Inspection Form. Participants are responsible for all item on the Safety Inspection Form prior to the autocross.

(This year we will not be handing out the Safety Tech Form; please download, read, or print the online form below. I will have 5 Safety Tech Forms laminated so that the volunteers have something to check off as they perform the inspection. Once the inspection is done a Safety Tech Sticker is applied to the top left of the windshield indicating the vehicle has passed Safety Tech Inspection).
