Track Laps at Talladega Superspeedway

You will drive to the speedway on your own and join the group for this activity. Participation is not limited to Porsches.

Join fellow Parade attendees for multiple laps in your Porsche on the iconic racetrack! Though the speedway is known primarily as “NASCAR’s biggest and baddest track,” it is also where in 1975 Mark Donahue set a world record for fastest lap on a closed course, driving a Porsche 917/30 at an average speed of 221.120 miles per hour!
BUT DON’T GET ANY IDEAS! Though you will not be setting any speed records, you will be able to drive your car for several exhilarating laps, with a photo opportunity on the track and victory lane with pace car and display trophy.
You will drive on your own from the host hotel to the speedway, where you will join the other attendees for this event. Allow for approximately one hour driving time to arrive at the venue (arrival time TBD).
Track Laps Guidelines
- All participants must sign a track wavier
- All vehicles must have a valid license plate and all drivers must have a valid driver’s license. Minors (Under 19 years of age) with valid driver's license must be accompanied by parent or legal guardian
- Vehicles deemed unsafe by Talladega Staff will not be allowed onto the track
- Participants will enter the infield through the North Tunnel (Turn 4) and proceed to the staging area; the road will be marked with signage and traffic cones
- All participants are required to remain in their personal vehicle on pit road
- Track laps will be paced at highway speed by Talladega Staff; no vehicles allowed in the top lane, and no passing allowed
After your experience at the speedway you are on your own to visit other attractions in the area, including the International Motorsports Hall of Fame, adjacent to the Talladega Superspeedway, before your return to the host hotel.
